Hello, I have some doubts concerning to the hostapd package, working with Attitude Adjustment openwrt version. So, I would appreciate if someone might clarify them to me.
Firstly, I have noticed that apart from the hostapd package included on package/hostapd directory, there is another small version of hostapd located in the drivers of the linux kernel (linux-3-3.8/drivers/net/wireless/hostap). My question is, if I had to change the main hostapd package, should I change the kernel version of hostap too? Might there be any kind of incompatibility if I only change the package and not the one in the kernel? I ask this, because I'm not sure whether they make use of each other or not. Secondly, could someone point me out where in hostapd code is distinguished between adhoc mode and ap mode?
