Trying to port the Comtrend VR-3025un and VR-3025u (they are
explained in the wiki), both based in bcm6368, a colleague and me
experienced, when enabling FPU emulation in the kernel, a hang when
enabling the second core or data corruption in JFFS2. The first issue
were noticed by my colleague and the second by me. If we don't enable
FPU emulation the routers works with both generic and smp subtargets.
The first impression was that the problem is caused by the PC
and/or the linux distro because the issues were different depending
who made the compilation, but we haven't problems without FPU
emulation; additionally, in a bcm6358 (BMIPS4350 V1.0) and bcm6328
(BMIPS4350 V7.5), enabling FPU, nothing strange happened, so could be
an errata in BMIPS4350 V3.1 cores.
We didn't discarded distro or PC problem due to the different
errors we noticed.
In this moment i have no idea how to confirm if this issues are
caused by the PC (Debian 6 in my case) or an errata in the BCM6368.
