How did you flash the image? Those messages are present even after
sysupgrade?

I flashed straight from stock firmware, because that what I was testing. I
didn't try after sysupgrade, do you want me to?

I've tried to test with sysupgrade, but *-sysupgrade.bin image is not
accepted by sysupgrade, see below:
root@OpenWrt:/# sysupgrade
/tmp/openwrt-ramips-rt305x-dir-610-a1-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin
Invalid image type.
Image check 'platform_check_image' failed.
Any idea why?
