I believe I'm observing packets leaking between WAN and LAN ports during OpenWrt booting process. That happens on devices with bgmac, but it seems to be related to the b53.
We had a similar problem noticed by Hauke with the old Broadcom switch driver: https://lists.openwrt.org/pipermail/openwrt-devel/2013-July/020663.html (and fixed in https://dev.openwrt.org/changeset/37286) I believe we're doing switch registration (and initialization) a bit wrong. b53_switch_register detects switch model and then calls b53_switch_init b53_switch_init calls b53_switch_reset That causes a total switch reset and after that all ports are not-separated anymore. Of course a second or two later OpenWrt configures switch in the requested way and the leak is gone. But it's still there for that second or two. Am I right with my analyze of this behavior? Could you guys fix it? So far I can see two solutions: 1) Don't call b53_switch_reset until we get a first configuration (initial b53_switch_reset should happen conditionally in b53_global_apply_config) 2) Disable all ports early in the b53_switch_reset I'm not sure how this should work with the b53_global_reset_switch, this usage should also be reviewed. -- Rafał _______________________________________________ openwrt-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openwrt.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/openwrt-devel
