Yes, and it's Taiwan, you can get even cheaper in Mainland China.

What makes me wonder is this sentence: "After 5 times modifications reaches the

It looks like they found a way to reduce the RT5350F dissipation, but it 
doesn't tell if it is a hardware or software modification.

As for a comparison between VoCore and AsiaRF, I would say that the VoCore is 
done by a hobbyist as Open Hardware through experimentation, while the AsiaRF 
is a professional design.

And I can tell you that the AsiaRF board is fully working!

But the VoCore success might have triggered the AsiaRF Indiegogo campaign;)

They are still making money from these RT5350F-based cheap boards, as you can 
get them in small quantities for ~7.50USD.
