Quoting John Crispin <blo...@openwrt.org>:

Hi,

why the mt7610 requirement ? whr works well with a rt5592 as 5ghz and
the whr-1166 has mt7612 as 5ghz for which felix pushed the driver last
night. mt7610 is only used by the dir810 and there is no free driver for
that wifi chip.

so, to make sure i'm understanding this (and i just glanced at felix's
patch for that driver), there is a working build of trunk openwrt for this
buffalo airstation whr-1166d router:

http://www.amazon.ca/Buffalo-AirStation-WHR-1166D-Wireless-Router/dp/B00JKM0ACW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416584289&sr=8-1&keywords=whr-1166d

with working 2.4G and 5G, and that is flashable onto that router? i can see
that a whr-1166d image is part of the default build profile for mt7620, so
i just want to make sure what i build can be installed on an out-of-box
whr-1166d. do i have that about right? because that would be absolutely
delightful.

rday
