Thanks, I got it now. So I should run make oldconfig when compiling
automatically everyday?

You could do that, but this is only needed when major changes are made in the tree. For instance, if you upgrade to a new version (you have a working .config that you used for building Barrier Breaker, but you now want to use that as a start when you want to migrate to Chaos Calmer). For keeping in sync with the daily changes in the trunk, you'll probably fine most of the time without it (subtle changes will be dealt by 'make silent_oldconfig' which is part of the build process).
