7f8d4000-7f8f5000 rwxp 00000000 00:00 0 [stack] 7fff7000-7fff8000 r-xp 00000000 00:00 0 [vdso] but there doesn't appear to be a vfp area on this ancient version of openwrt. ... so it it appears to me that the paper is correct - two mips "bugfixes" arrived at almost exactly the same time. The first, fixed executable stacks and heaps, which already did ASLR, the second added an executable vfpu area in a fixed location.
