Thanks for the background.

Although I'm running 22.03.2 currently, I'm not impacted by the underlying 
issue as have a separate switch. I'm more concerned about running behind with 
security updates but I've read the relevant CVEs and it's probably ok to wait 
until 22.04.0 for now. I'll keep an eye out and update to a snapshot, if this 
changes.

I think quite a few users are in a similar position to me: the lack of 
potential security updates is more of a potential problem than not having 
switch functionality.
