 So, as usually I downloaded revision 41181 from trunk using the following
 command:

 svn co svn://svn.openwrt.org/openwrt/trunk/

 Then installed packages:

 cd trunk
 ./scripts/feeds update -a
 ./scripts/feeds install -a

 make menuconfig

 At this point I selected some more packages than default (luck, luci-ssl,
 luci-app-ddns, luci-app-upnp, iperf, nano, mc) and then proceeded with
 compilation:

 make defconfig
 make V=s

 Compilation was successful and I installed resulting *sysupgrade.bin on my
 TP-LINK TL-WDR3500 router, and after reboot I was not able to connect via
 WiFi.  The WiFi LEDs on the router didn't lit up either.  I could connect
 over ssh via LAN and after inspecting configuration, discovered also that
 neither WLAN, nor PPPOE is working.
