Have you reset /etc/config/wireless to defaults (wifi detect >
/etc/config/wireless).
netifd changed it's behaviour on chipset feature recogntion afaik.
AFAIK 842nd v2 (but also v1) supports SGI20. If your link is not to a
station in the vicinity, you probably should try disabling it. (SGI20
chooses a smaller interval between single bits, this increasing bitrates
at, but at a higher risk of smearing chars through collisions). howto
follows.
