Well, I tried to fix the WARNING by submitting a new patch ![1]. The new
patch should at least squelch the WARNING triggered by scanning, but as my
knowledge of the hardware details is lacking so there may exist some
unexplored side effects that can be introduced by change. It should be a
RFC patch...
