I am having very similar problems with at least two different TP-Link TL-
WR710N.
An image gallery and full info on at least one of the devices can be seen
here. One should be able to read the labels off the chips, see the PCB,
bootlog, etc:

In my case, I am using USB to RS232/serial adapters to connect to the
console ports on a variety of networking equipment (Cisco, Juniper, etc).
My connections are failing and I am seeing errors in the kernel log.
The problem is very chronic intermittent. Yesterday I couldn't make it
stop. Today I can't reproduce the issue at all. Very strange.
I have definitely seen the issue on r42397. I think I've also seen it on
r41556. I have two hardware units and both show similar symptoms.
The serial adapters are multiple and with different chipsets. I have
Pl2303s, FTDIs, and CH341s all having the same problem.
