 Reporter: anonymous | Owner: developers
     Type: defect | Status: new

Component: base system | Version: Trunk

-------------------------+-----------------------------------
 Latest release of barrier_breaker 14.07-rc3 bricked Linksys WRT54G v4.

After slashing, router restarted, gave DHCP address to the client.
Web interface was very slow, it took on average about 8 to 10 seconds to
 load pages.

Wifi interface did not started by default.
When wifi was started via web-interface, router stopped responding via
 web-interface.
Power LED when from solid green to randomly flashing.
about 60 sec later router restarted, WIFI LED turned on, power light kept
 flashing fast in random pattern.
Web-interface became very unstable, pages would not load, time out.
SHH got broken, no response. Telnet would randomly work, closing
 connections.
Restarting the router resulted in the same behavior.
Holding reset button during the boot did NOT initiated TFTP session to
 feed another firmware.
It is not possible to reach the page for firmware upgrade in web-interface
 (when web-interface responsive at all).
If router reboots to the point when it is possible to set the password (so
that SSH log in is possible)... by the time attempt can be made to SSH to
the router, it freezes, restarts and resets the root psw so you would have
 to start all over again.
