 Hello,

 Target is Asus RT-N16. Built trunk r42619 for two routers with same
 result.

 CONFIG_TARGET_brcm47xx=y
 CONFIG_TARGET_brcm47xx_mips74k=y
 CONFIG_TARGET_brcm47xx_mips74k_Broadcom-mips74k-wl=y

 After reboot (many) console is apparently normal:
 Broadcom BCM4329 802.11bgn (wl0)
 Channel: 10 (2.457 GHz) | Bitrate: 54 Mbit/s
         [Signal: 1 dBm / Noise: -82 dBm]
 100% SSID: maxnet | Mode: Master
 BSSID: xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx (hid it) | Encryption: WPA2 PSK (CCMP)

 But ifconfig says no received packets and lots of errors:
 wl0       Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
           UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1
           RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:127293
           TX packets:3 errors:1586 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0
           collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
           RX bytes:0 (0.0 B)  TX bytes:362 (362.0 B)
           Interrupt:3 Base address:0x1000

 On my laptop the SSID is not seen

 After changing something on the console /Network/WiFi/Edit and Save&Apply,
 starts working immediately until next reboot.

 This didn't happen with previous build r40873 brcm47xx generic with
 brcm47xx_Broadcom-wl and kmod-mac80211, the later I didn't include now
 (should I?)

 Thank you for your excellent work, couldn't live without it. My two
 RT-N16, linked by openvpn, even run asterisk11 with QoS with 4 trunk
 connections, 6 extensions, plus ftp server, all without a glitch.

 Rgds,
 jss
