#18142: UDP and established TCP connections/NAT holes get terminated
-----------------------------------------------+------------------------
Reporter: mravouk | Owner: developers
Type: defect | Status: new
Priority: normal | Milestone:
Component: kernel | Version: Trunk
Keywords: UDP TCP NAT connection terminated |
-----------------------------------------------+------------------------
This behaviour occurs on about 5 (RT-N16 flashed with r42740) out of 40
devices. It affects both cable and pppoe WAN as well as wired and wireless
LAN connections.
Description: current established connections for various applications
including Skype, Mumble, Bomgar, etc. get terminated sometimes
occasionally sometimes frequently. It seems to only affect NATed
connections as SSH/VPN on WAN never gets interrupted.
The total number of tracked connections at the time of termination as per
net.netfilter.nf_conntrack_count is far, far below the max and no drops
are reported. I tried to play with timeout values to no avail.
