Comment:
hi, I apologize if I run a stupid question, but in the past the output
images where right.
I haven't really understood the answer: the output images that come out
from compilation are really too big for the related device. I mean that
the image named for a particular model come out too big for it, not a
general image, but exactly the dedicated image. Actually it happens for
all the models that I know with brcm47xx and with only 4MB of flash. If
the answer tell that the only differences in firmwares are some bits to
accept the firmware for the upgrade, you implicity told us that we have to
change the FLASHROMS with larger ones. Yes, it this could be possible, but
really I think you should wrote this in another way.
"You have not intention to change this": Ok it's right, your time is your
time, nobody have the rights to ask to you to work for something you don't
like, but the question was right too.
- Anything to suggest to us if we would like to have openwrt onto these
models? What we need to do, to have them? If my skills aren't enough to
make the job then I Just have to forget it, is it correct?
- PLEASE, can you suggest to me the latest revision that made accettable
sized firmwares? I think it could be due to the linux kernel version? or
general changes?
- Do you think it could be possible (also if it will need some work) to
compile a firmware with older kernel but the lastest luci interface? or
luci is too much dependent to the kernel version?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
Anyway always a lot of thanks for your work, I always appreciate it, but
sometimes I fell myself lost in front of some insormontable troubles.
Don't worry if people need help.
