  WRT54GSv2 Linksys network load | Breaker 14.07
-------------------------------------------------+-------------------------
 Hello,

First off, thanks for an excellent open source router firmware project.

I have a bunch of Linksys WRT54GS routers with 8mb flash and 32mb RAM. My
understanding is that they should still (hopefully) work with OpenWRT BB,
provided they have the higher flash and RAM sizes (like mine do).

A few weeks back, I tried upgrading one of them (Linksys WRT54GSv2) to BB
compiled from source (svn release id 43380). To be clear, I compiled from
 the BB branch, not trunk.

Anyways, flashing worked fine and the router came up as expected.
Configuration also was perfectly smooth; however, a few hours later, I
noticed that the router spontaneously rebooted.

Further investigation shows that the router spontaneously reboots under
any kind of moderate-to-heavy network load. This does not appear to be a
wifi issue, because connecting via Ethernet and retrying the same download
still reliably caused the reboot. (I was on wifi originally.)

After digging around the filesystem, it looks like a "crashlog" file is
being generated (and preserved during next boot) whenever the errant
reboot happens. I'll attach it to this ticket. Testing showed that the
crashlog file changed simultaneously with a spontaneous reboot, but please
note that I don't really know enough about debugging OpenWRT to say
whether the crashlog is showing the issue or if it's something benign
 that's just happening simultaneously.

Any advice on how to further troubleshoot the issue is welcome.

 Thanks.

 Aaron Curley
