you can't use pppoa on ptm. on vdsl.
traditional adsl: atm-over-adsl with vci/vpi and either ethernet-over-atm
or ppp-over-atm on top
vdsl and adsl in ptm mode: ethernet-over-xdsl aka 'ptm' with vlans
so either you use xfer_mode 'ptm' and then simply use ptm0 or ptm0.X
(X=VLAN ID) as ifname for pppoe and remove all the atm-related config.
That's probably what you want to do, as ltq_ptm_vr9 was already loaded and
line state came all up to showtime on VDSL rates.
