you can try to set KERNEL_PATCHVER:=3.18 in target/linux/orion/Makefile.
from what I can see, patches are fine except for 400-fix-section-mismatch-
warnings.patch which is no longer needed and can be removed.
some new kernel config stuff will have to be adjusted, but seems rather
trivial.
simply give it a shot and if it works fine, post your patch on openwrt-
[email protected].
