Have much the same problem with my Tp-Link wr842nd v1 and latest trunk.
Worked fine with 3.18.7 kernel (dont remember revision).
Latest build doesnt boot, only LAN led blinking.
Recovery from tftp with latest build also doesnt have any effect.
