#19577: No wifi on custom built openwrt on linksys E3000

When I install the suggested Openwrt build on the device everything works
fine but I built a custom version with either :
- BCM43xx WiFi (b43, default)
- BCM43xx WiFi (wl, proprietary)
versions (which where in menuconfig target profiles) wireless doesn't
work. Should I choose something other than these two or install something
manually?
