Comment (by micsu):

I believe this r45653 patch could fix '''some''' pppoe connection related
 issues.
But in my case, nothing has changed :(

 To test this r45653 patch, I've updated BB 14.07 (r42625) to CC RC2 15.05
(r45918), but my pppoe connection is still unstable the same way:
 - there are about 30 reconnects every day (new IP address)
 - the disconnection-rate is undependent on network load, network activty,
 - connection is stable when using desktop pc or stock firmware instead of
 OpenWrt
 - my router is D-link DIR-825 rev B2, my modem is corinex hd200, and ISP
 uses ETTH
 - There wasn't any problem with two former pppoe ISPs (in another city)

I think this 5 years old issue is quite complex in circumstances:
 - disconnection-rate is few minutes '''OR''' few days
 - the disconnection-rate is dependent '''OR''' undependent on network
 load, network activty
 - putting a hub between the router and modem solves the problem '''OR'''
 not
 - lcp-echo, etc

Should I reopen this ticket or should I open a new one?
