simple solution:
# cp /rom/etc/opkg.conf /etc/opkg.conf
this is a known bug (or is it a feature?) that if you choose to do an
OpenWRT sysupgrade while preserving the config files the upgrade process
will not over-write the package source information and you end up with
obsolete packages.
ALWAYS copy the default opkg.conf after a version upgrade.
