 Hi!
Lately I've been struggling to run low-flash router with remote syslog.
There were two issues to solve, which are not quite straightforward
 especially via the LuCi:

 1) Default protocol of logread/syslog is UDP. If you want to switch it,
there's no option in LuCI interface which could lead many users to
misunderstanding that it's not supported. It is, and I guess it should be
available in LuCI also (instead of only log_proto in UCI)

 2) Hostname of logread. Currently logread supports -h flag (-h hostname)
to change the situation of localhost.localdomain appearing in remote
 syslog.

/etc/init.d/log in validate_log_section() should also get the 'hostname'
parameter from config/system, which would resolve the problem.

Hope it's fixed before the CC stable release.

 Regards
