 Dear Openwrt developers,
This is my first time to file ticket here so apology in advance if I
missed any general rule for issue ticket here, and thank you very much for
creating such amazing open source platform!

 Background:
Using Openwrt to build a client device in LAN environment.

 Description:
Default Openwrt config contains odhcpd which is a hdcp server for ipv4 and
 v6.
Because we are porting Openwrt to a client device environment, I disabled
odhcpd so that it can work as client device under regular DHCP router.
However, by disabling odhcpd, openwrt also lose all of its ipv6
 connectivity (e.g. ping6, ssh, and bonjour/dns-sd).

 Question:
Is there a alternative that can enable this connectivity while not serving
as DHCP server (which will compete with router's DHCP server)?
