I installed CC on my Linksys WRT320N. It went fine, but WiFi was unusually
slow (about 5 Mbps vs. 60 Mbps with Tomato). Changing channels didn't
help. Most importantly, on LuCI's Wireless page, I could only find
references to WiFi g, which seems to indicate that the driver doesn't
fully support the radio.
I then converted the WRT320N to an E2000 as I'd been planning to do that
for a while anyway. After that, I installed the E2000 build of CC, but the
WiFi issue persisted.
I came across #17495 and read
http://wiki.openwrt.org/doc/hardware/soc/soc.broadcom.bcm47xx . Does this
mean that in order to get normal WiFi speeds, I need to install kmod-
brcm-wl, wl(c), and nas? I kind of assumed that I wouldn't need any
additional packages as far as WiFi goes since there are specific builds
for both the WRT320N and the E2000 ...
I've gone back to Tomato by Shibby for now because I needed to get stuff
done, but I'll gladly flash OpenWrt again if there's anything I can do to
contribute.
