ran into the same issue, (www.)lm-sensors.org is still down as of oct 11,
2015
solution: found a list of mirros at
http://www.filewatcher.com/m/lm_sensors-3.3.5.tar.bz2.173609-0.html
this was downloaded and moved into my downloads folder (can be set in
menuconfig, advanced dev settings -> set download folder). resumed
download with make V=s and it cleared where it was hitting the error.
