Quite likely, but that is coming from upstream, the Linux kernel itself:

By looking at the source code in lines 321-331 it really looks like that
should be req4 like you say.
You should report the bug for the Linux kernel developers.
(although the author of the driver file seems to be blogic, one of the
Openwrt developers.)
