This bug is strange. I did many tests.
How it looks like when you use most recent trunk with luci:
You login as root with ssh into openwrt and write "reboot" and press
enter. You can see after about 3 seconds really quick flash of all lights
and the power-led goes quickly off and then on again. -> working fine
You use luci and press on the reboot button. Same behavour like "reboot"
in command line -> works fine.
You use sysupgrade firmware update file (will be pushed upstream in some
minutes) and uncheck the "keep settings". It flashes and reboots fine.
Power led goes quickly off and then on again while all leds light up
quickly once. -> works fine. Nearly same behavour like normal reboot.
And now you select the problematic function. You just select in luci to
reset the config. It then takes really long time (longer then flashing new
firmware with sysupgrade) and in 1 out of 10 tries it reboots(power led
shorf off and on). In some cases it hang for minutes. In some cases it
hangs and then it seems like somethng like a kernel panic happens or
something like that and it does a warm-reboot - the power-led never goes
off but it have rebootet sometime.
I think this bug have to be analyzed with a serial connector.
