FYI the menu help section for that option in

/package/utils/busybox/config/loginutils/Config.in (line 297)
}}}
still lists sha256 and sha512 as valid options.
Also, I noticed the
{{{
config BUSYBOX_CONFIG_USE_BB_CRYPT_SHA
}}}
If I enable BUSYBOX_CONFIG_USE_BB_CRYPT and
BUSYBOX_CONFIG_USE_BB_CRYPT_SHA
would that solve it as well?
