Reviewing the wget errors, it appears that the certificate name may not be
the issue that is preventing the the build process from downloading
batman-adv. It looks like the call to open-mesh.org is returning a
403-forbidden for the batman-adv archive. If I use curl or chrome, the
download works, so this may be specific to wget.
