That sounds similar as the issue as discussed in
https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?pid=311805#p311805
Root reason: dropbear has been compiled with ecdsa key support, but there
is a zero-byte ecdsa key file /etc/dropbear/dropbear_ecdsa_host_key
(instead of either no ecdsa key file or a proper key).
So, possibly this is just dropbear reacting badly to invalid key.

https://forum.openwrt.org/viewtopic.php?pid=312103#p312103 )
Ps. If the original reporter was using Arokh's build, that has now been
fixed.
