#22132: Chaos Calmer 15.05.1 fails to boot on DGND3700v1

On flashing 15.05.1 to my DGND3700v1, the box then fails to boot. Power
light starts red, moves to (continuous) green and stays there - no other
lights (ethernet etc) come on. No amount of button pushing will convince
it to enter failsafe mode either.
Connecting a serial cable to the internal pins lets me enter CFE mode &
although I get no output (possibly I've messed up soldering the TX pin?
The cable works fine on an RPi, so it’s not the cable) I can get the
bootloader to flash a new image via tftp by typing blindly at the cfe
prompt.
Further investigation reveals that the 15.05 Chaos Calmer images work
fine, as does an image taken from the trunk builds from last week (26th
March IIRC), but 15.05.1 doesn't boot.
Unfortunately I can't get much more in the way of diagnostics as I can't
get any output from the bootloader (see above), but this might be the
kernel hang mentioned in the mailing list? If the fix for it has been
merged into the 15.05 branch then I’m happy to try a HEAD build from the
Chaos Calmer branch if they're available anywhere.
