Turns out it was a combination of the radio hiding the SSID (fixed by
adding "option hidden 0") and my attempts at setting the channel to
"auto". If I specify a channel such as "1" the network shows up but as
soon as I set it to "auto" the network disappears. Is this a common issue
or am I missing something?
