I have the same problem...
- with trunk
- router: TP Link WR841NDv7
- directly after booting (no load required to cause the problem)
- the message "eth1: tx timeout" appears repeatedly every 25 seconds
- eth1 really doesn't work at all (my cable modem is attached to eth1)
