Hello,

anybody would be interested in Avidemux on OpenWRT and able to help?

Why Avidemux for OpenWRT?
-> Time to time I record some TV programs on my computer and later on
convert them into XVid using Avidemux. However I don't like leaving my
home PC on all the night or day just to convert video from TV application
recording format into more space efficient XVid. That's why I had "great
idea" of having data on USB disk, creating job script with Avidemux on my
PC, putting script also on USB disk and connecting disk to OpenWRT - I would
run Avidemux CLI on my OpenWRT using job script prepared on PC. My OpenWRT
is on non stop so I don't care if it would recode the movie for 2 days. For
me is important that I could just prepare the movie and switch my PC off.

What's my problem?
-> Well, I am not able to compile Avidemux for OpenWRT and also I don't know
if it would run on OpenWRT (memory). I have tried the compilation, however I
am not able to make the correct settings. Everytime after unsuccessful
compilation it somehow resets my changes to the default. :-(

What I need?
-> Would someone be able to compile Avidemux CLI for OpenWRT? Or give me
proper instructions (and help me to read through error messages) so I would
be able to compile Avidemux myself?

I believe that having Avidemux for OpenWRT would be interesting not only for
me, but also other happy OpenWRT users would appreciate it.

With regards,

Jan
