not sure if i asked about this before but i'm puzzled by the variety
of subversion numbers i see after i install the 8.09 image on my
linksys WRT54GL.
officially, i can see that the 8.09 tag corresponds to subversion
commit 14803 (right?).
if, however, i ssh into the unit, the /etc/banner file prints out a
commit number of 14511.
and, finally, the luci interface displays a revision number of
14417.
is there a rationale for these different commit numbers? do they
mean different things?
