Hi,

I have successfully compiled some static binaries with the external
toolchain option of the OpenWRT framework for a popular hardware sold
in Belgium:

http://www.zoobab.com/bbox2

Now the problem I have is that I do not have access to the sources of
the kernel yet, and I would like to build a parallel root in /opt/
mounted on a USB key.

I have read about the Optware stuff from the SLUG, but I have no idea
how to do it for OpenWRT.

I imagine I could just build a series of ipk packages for the box, and
then install opkg on it with a special root path, but I have no idea
how to do that.

And then changing the PATH to use the new binaries.

Any idea?

Best,

"In July 2005, after several failed attempts to legalise software
patents in Europe, the patent establishment changed its strategy.
Instead of explicitly seeking to sanction the patentability of
software, they are now seeking to create a central European patent
court, which would establish and enforce patentability rules in their
favor, without any possibility of correction by competing courts or
democratically elected legislators."
