Hi

Thanks for the reply. I figured I probably had to just build a custom
image, and actually had all that done the same day I originally sent
the first message. I thought part of the point of openwrt was that you
didn't have to build custom images, and could install software? Or am
I thinking of one of the other wrt linux distros?

Anyways, now I'm trying to use the config I setup last week, and I'm
having problems with wpa_supplicant. Is the package prebuilt in the
image maker missing some config options? I'm trying to connect to a
WPA2 network that uses PEAP. Using the web interface, I can select all
the right settings, and upload the certificate, etc, but the wlan0
interface never comes up, and I see this on the console if I use "wifi
up" to try to bring it up myself:

Error for wireless request "Set Power Management" (8B2C) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Operation not supported.
Line 12: unknown network field 'eap'.
Line 13: unknown network field 'ca_cert'.
Line 24: failed to parse network block.
Failed to read or parse configuration '/var/run/wpa_supplicant-wlan0.conf'.
enable_mac80211(radio0): Failed to set up wpa_supplicant for interface wlan0

Not too worried about the power management message, but wpa_supplicant
doesn't understand the "eap=..." field of the config file? Huh?

Also tried making my own config file as per the wpa_supplicant wiki,
and calling wpa_supplicant myself on the command line, and same deal,
it complains about unknown field eap, etc, just like when I use wifi
up.
