Hello all,

I have done a complete compile of OpenWrt Backfire 10.3 on Ubuntu Lucid (64bit).
I need this in order to be able to boot from external root (Asus WL-500G,
squashfs image).
All works fine, except for the luci interface, which gives me the error:

$ /etc/init.d/lucid start
Starting LuCId superserver: lucid
lua: error loading module 'luci.lucid' from file './luci/lucid.lua':
        ./luci/lucid.lua: bad header in precompiled chunk

I found this bug, https://dev.openwrt.org/ticket/8196 which unfortunately tells
me things that I do not know how to do.

If I compiled everything myself, and am also using all packages from my
compile, everything should be ok, should it?

How would I "If you upgraded Lua, recompile LuCI." recompile LuCI on the router
itself?

Any hints/help are highly appreciated.
Thanks,
udo.
