Hi,
I have backfire source from svn (rev 24626).
If the file openwrt-ar71xx-ubnt-rspro-squashfs-factory.bin is programmed using
tftp, the system works perfectly.
But if i run the following command:
mtd -e kernel write openwrt-ar71xx-vmlinux.lzma kernel
then the result of the next boot is the following (from the console output):
---- 8< ----
Kernel command line: rootfstype=squashfs,yaffs,jffs2 noinitrd
console=ttyS0,115200 ����������{����~������o�
---- 8< ----
VFS: Cannot open root device "<NULL>" or unknown-block(0,0)
Please append a correct "root=" boot option; here are the available
partitions:
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)
---- 8< ----
There are some unreadable characters in the kernel command line.
The result does not depend on if the root filesystem is re-flashed or not.
Do you have any idea about it?
