Dear all (new here ;-) ),

I have been happily using OpenWRT on AR7-based DC834Gv3 ADSL
  routers (ipv6 native connection!).
These include a Marvell 88E6060 switch.

On 10.3.1-rc3 (and -rc4) the 'ar7 switch drivers' have
  been enabled in the kernel.

This seems to have the effect, of causing (out of the box)
only one of the 4 ethernet ports to work!
(on 10.3 and 10.3.1-rc2 it was possible to use all 4).
The other ports still work to talk to the pspboot loader,
but once linux/openwrt starts, only port externally
labelled '4' actually works at all!

I have tried swconfig, and can never get any message other
than "Failed to connect to the switch".
I have tried to add what seems like the right switch config
  into /etc/config/network to no avail.
There is also no /proc/switch or any obviously switch-related
  config items in /dev.....

(a) I think there is a real problem here with the 'default'
in openwrt 10.3.1-rc3 / newer, to put only 1 switch
port on the same vlan as the router.
Do I need to report this somewhere else? Is this intentional?

(b) Has anybody got any ideas on how I might reconfigure
      the switch etc. ;-)

(c) Is there a way to disable the mvswitch driver initializing
      for-now i.e. kernel parameter or so ?

Thanks,

--Simon
