Ok.I installed this MR3220 ( http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-mr3420 i
used file from trunk ) .
Can you give me the your config file(network and 3g.chat)?
I used the new one trunk and syntax was changed.

cat /etc/config/network :

config 'interface' 'wan'
       option 'ifname' 'ppp0'
       option 'pincode' '0123'
       option 'service' 'umts_firs'
...

Sorry, no. BOth of my boxes have since been repurposed, so all I have are some cryptic notes from the time I built it.

Threads on the openwrt forum that I found interesting: 12130, 15144, 15468.

Kamikaze 7.09 patch 8549

ipkg update
ipkg install kmod-usb-core kmod-usb-ohci kmod-usb-uhci kmod-usb2
ipkg install kmod-usb-serial chat comgt

The EVDO modem that I used was model UM175VW. Vendor 106c ProdID 3714 Rev 1.00

Unfortunately, I didn't write down, and I can't locate a file backup of the specific edits to the config and chat scripts.

The second one was much simpler... I found a custom image out on the 'EVDO Forum' called 'evdowizard's build' which included the X-wrt GUI. My notes say '1/31/2007 2.4.30 ver r3529' When I first loaded this image, the GUI didn't work. I had to log in via ssh, then give +x permission to /www/cgi-bin/webif/info.sh .

Once I was able to access the web gui, setup was a snap:

Network: DHCP
        3G Data
        Always
        Keepalive
        US Verizon
        GSM Based
        111 222 [email protected]
        -
        #777
        -
        -
        automatic

        No Opendns

I'm sorry, but that's all that I have. Just a few cryptic notes that pertain to a very outdated image.
