Just compiled libgphoto2_2.4.9-2_ar71xx.ipk from svn.
I can confirm that it does work on backfire 10.03.1-rc5 - WRT160NL
Now, I can try with this

but where to put the untar package?
In ROOTSVN/package/libgphoto2-2.4.11.1/
Or must be renamed?

The issue should be fixed with the following commits:

To try it out you either have to build yourself or wait for an updated
binary release. The fixed package will carry the version "2.4.9-2" .
