Hi,
I have a Ralink 3050F SoC based board (Omnima MiniEmbWifi: http://omnima.co.uk/store/catalog/MiniEMBWiFi-p-16180.html) and I'm having problems using multiple usb devices via a usb hub. The Omnima board is now a supported platform in Trunk (I'm using r29664) but from my testing I don't think using more than 1 usb device simultaneously is possible. I have tried an array of different hubs, 2-port, 4-port, 7-port, powered, unpowered, etc. In all cases I have also tried numerous different usb peripherals, webcams, ZTE and Huawei cellular modems, usb wifi cards and gps dongles. All these peripheral devices work if plugged directly into the board and they all also work if they are the only plugged into a usb hub. However, if I add anymore devices to the hub then they will not operate together at the same time. The usb hubs and their first device are recognised properly (correct output in dmesg, correct entries made in /dev/) any subsequent device I add is not registered properly. I have done the exact same tests using Trunk on a Ubiquiti RouterStation board and do not have the same problem, with the RouterStation I can run 4 different usb peripherals simultaneously without issue. I'm guessing therefore that this maybe an issue with the dwc_otg driver (since the Ralink SoC uses it but the Routerstation doesn't). Can anybody tell me if this is a known problem with that driver and if there's anything I can do to resolve it? Cheers, Ben
