I'm try install openWrt in the Huawei device and I have same cuestion:
First I try to backup the information.
in the page http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/huawei/hg556a say that i must do
that an that the device is:
mtd0 CFE bootloader
mtd1 kernel kernel
mtd2 rootfs root file system
mtd3 ath_data wifi calibration data
mtd4 nvram OEM configuration data
So I login the device (by telnet) and try:
> cat /dev/mtd3 > /tmp/ath_data
cat: /dev/mtd3: No such file or directory
I can't know the true because there is no 'ls' command.
Second:
I create a new firmware with make imge ...
but it create too many file. How can I know wich noe is my.
Third
How I must use data from wireless to merge with ath, previus make firmware
or after make it?
