I have Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH presently using OpenWrt AA 12.09-rc1. Several times a day the WAN disconnects for a few seconds, resulting in "dead internet", any open connections dropped, etc. I was previously on backfire final release and it also suffered the same problem. In the system log it always looks like this after WAN has gone dead:
Nov 29 11:08:58 OpenWrt daemon.notice netifd: wan (12871): Sending renew... Nov 29 11:08:58 OpenWrt daemon.notice netifd: wan (12871): Received DHCP NAK Nov 29 11:08:58 OpenWrt daemon.notice netifd: Interface 'wan' has lost the connection (...here were other services going down as a result...) Nov 29 11:09:04 OpenWrt daemon.notice netifd: wan (12871): Sending select for 71.11.142.61... Nov 29 11:09:04 OpenWrt daemon.notice netifd: wan (12871): Lease of 71.11.142.61 obtained, lease time 28800 Nov 29 11:09:04 OpenWrt daemon.notice netifd: Interface 'wan' is now up (...other services going back up after this...) After Googling I found a few reports that sound similar, from years ago, and most recently ticket #12114 which might be the same thing and claims it was fixed a few months ago. Do you think this problem is the same as described in that bug, or is it something else? My cable modem logs don't show anything during these times. I don't know what to try next to further debug the problem. Thanks for any hints, Paul _______________________________________________ openwrt-users mailing list [email protected] https://lists.openwrt.org/mailman/listinfo/openwrt-users
