A comment, FWIW: I've no experience with antennas, but I have noticed that attempts to weatherproof that do not keep 100% of the moisture out tend instead to make things worse. The moisture that does get in does not dry out and the poor weatherproofing just keeps things wet longer and results in more corrosion than direct exposure to the weather.
