Hi all! I was wondering whether or not the WNR1000 was supported by OpenWRT. The wiki page [0] doesn't tell and I can't seem to find any guides on installation. All I really find is this [1] thread about preliminary support for WNR1000.
Since I'm unsure which revision of the WNR1000 it is I will include some information down below. But at least it's running Linux: / # uname -a Linux (none) 2.6.15 #199 Wed Aug 19 16:41:53 CST 2009 mips unknown / # cat /proc/cpuinfo system type : Atheros AR9100 processor : 0 cpu model : MIPS 24K V7.4 BogoMIPS : 265.21 wait instruction : yes microsecond timers : yes tlb_entries : 16 extra interrupt vector : yes hardware watchpoint : yes ASEs implemented : mips16 VCED exceptions : not available VCEI exceptions : not available / # cat /proc/meminfo MemTotal: 30156 kB MemFree: 15976 kB Buffers: 544 kB Cached: 4820 kB SwapCached: 0 kB Active: 5248 kB Inactive: 1692 kB HighTotal: 0 kB HighFree: 0 kB LowTotal: 30156 kB LowFree: 15976 kB SwapTotal: 0 kB SwapFree: 0 kB Dirty: 0 kB Writeback: 0 kB Mapped: 3056 kB Slab: 5560 kB CommitLimit: 15076 kB Committed_AS: 10640 kB PageTables: 396 kB VmallocTotal: 1048560 kB VmallocUsed: 940 kB VmallocChunk: 1047580 kB / # cat /proc/modules ip_nat_sip 8576 0 - Live 0xc00f1000 ip_conntrack_sip 8944 1 ip_nat_sip, Live 0xc00ca000 wlan_scan_ap 8864 1 - Live 0xc00ab000 wlan_acl 5248 1 - Live 0xc00b3000 wlan_wep 5568 0 - Live 0xc006a000 wlan_tkip 12928 0 - Live 0xc00b9000 wlan_ccmp 8512 3 - Live 0xc00af000 wlan_xauth 992 0 - Live 0xc0068000 ath_ahb 47808 0 - Live 0xc0016000 ath_dev 103904 1 ath_ahb, Live 0xc00cf000 ath_rate_atheros 38032 1 ath_dev, Live 0xc00a0000 wlan 217440 9 wlan_scan_ap,wlan_acl,wlan_wep,wlan_tkip,wlan_ccmp,wlan_xauth,ath_ahb,ath_dev, Live 0xc002f000 ath_hal 200736 3 ath_ahb,ath_dev, Live 0xc006d000 ipt_SYNFLOOD 5856 2 - Live 0xc000a000 ip_nat_starcraft 2208 0 - Live 0xc0014000 ipt_CONENAT 2656 2 - Live 0xc0012000 ag7100_mod 43408 0 - Live 0xc0023000 ar91xxgpiointr 4256 1 - Live 0xc000f000 ar91xxgpio 3520 1 - Live 0xc000d000 Lastly I found this interesting part: / # cat /proc/version Linux version 2.6.15 (root@debian-server) (gcc version 3.4.4 (OpenWrt-2.0)) #199 Wed Aug 19 16:41:53 CST 2009 Which would indicate that there is some support for this device since it's already running OpenWRT of some sort. I guess my question then comes down to: Are there newer releases? [0] http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/netgear/wnr1000 [1] https://lists.openwrt.org/pipermail/openwrt-devel/2010-June/007312.html
